Design Process

User experience design goes beyond the visual elements. I work closely with my team to enhance every aspect of a user's interaction with a company and its products. Each task/project can be unique with it's process but for the most part I like to follow the 5 D's.

Discover
Interviewing users, studying their behaviors, identifying pain points, and finding opportunities for continuous improvement.
Define
Synthesizing discovery data to create problem statements, align business and user needs, and ideate solutions using whiteboard sessions, card sorting, journey mapping, and sketching.
Design
Designing with tools like Figma to create wireframes, high-fidelity screens, and prototypes, showcasing the importance of testing for user validation and feedback.
Develop
Bringing designs to life involves packaging assets, emphasizing early developer involvement to streamline processes, identify gaps, and ensure project feasibility.
Deploy
Launching development begins user interaction and validation, initiating feedback gathering, ensuring functionality, and tackling new challenges.

As a Product Design Leader, I guide teams to enhance productivity and achieve goals through strategy, collaboration, efficient workflows, and best practices. Leveraging team strengths and continuous improvement fosters innovation and success.

It's also important to have team building events to get to know each other, celebrate wins, and encourage growth. Adapt this approach to amplify your team’s dynamics!
